Último Swell

Saturday May 15, 2010 was the biggest it has
been on the east coast since January 20.

After an extremely slow start, a two to three week run of
consistent late autumn swells in Victoria left local
crew totally buzzed and surfed out.

Styling on the south coast of NSW just
before lunch on Saturday May 15, 2010.

Mick slotted on the south coast of NSW late morning on Sat.

A chunky cavern slips by unridden at Cronulla Point
around lunchtime on Saturday May 15.

By 7.30 am there were some solid close out sets breaking
out beyond shark Island on Saturday morning.
Second Reef at Cronulla Point was at times looking
like a shore break reform. Believe it or not it was high tide.
What on earth is the skipper of that yacht thinking?

Pre sunrise perfection on Sat morning at Cronulla Point.

A media circus gathered at Ours pre dawn in anticipation,
but the swell was way too south, the tide way too high
and the wind way too strong. Mathews and Hippo
had a quick surf at Middles then most crew
bolted down the south coast instead.

Stephen Sharpe pulling into a chunky bazza at The Southie off
Coogee on Saturday morning.
That’s Wedding cake Island in the background.

Tommy Whitaker dropping into the abyss on a 10ft plus
Hawaiian style bomb out beyond Bronte
cemetery on Saturday May 15, 2010.

Tommy Whittaker taking a big drop at Bronte on
Sat morning. Whits, Bones, Kobi and Luke Daniels
charged some chunky bombs before the wind got up.

cemetery on Sat morning.

Jump off the Manly ferry and paddle for gold.
If Jessica Watson surfed she could have had this
to her self as she entered the harbour.

Toby Martin slotted at Dee Why Point
on Saturday morning just after high tide.

Sure looks like DH styling at Newport Reef early on Sat morning.

Coffs perfection at high tide on Saturday morning.

Somewhere south of Byron on Saturday morning May 15.
It was obviously a lot smaller and cleaner than Sydney.

Line after line running down this southern
NSW pointbreak on Friday afternoon.

Early morning gold south of Sydney on Friday morning.

Wylie Moyes busting out the fins
on Thursday at Catherine Hill Bay.
It was only 4ft and pretty windy on Thurs.

Essas fotos são do penúltimo final de semana que teve boas ondas na Austrália. A maioria das fotos são daqui de Sydney.
